About Project

It was one of the first Pan-African program for women in technology, a gender-focused initiative targeted mainly at female youth audiences throughout the African continent, to increase their personal involvement in early technology use and adoption with a view to improving their digital self-awareness and empowerment, and overall self-esteem. The Bridge the Gap Initiative of Kumasi Hive was awarded the winner for the 2018 Seed Fund in Africa.The training was held for girls and women in Digital Skills as such Internet of Things, Web Development and Graphic Design. Participants of this program gained internship and job placements with industrial partners whiles the others developed Business models out of their projects as Entrepreneurs operating their own startups .

The program was supported by Dot Connect Africa and Miss Africa Seed Fund 2018 and the Bridge the Gap Initiative of Kumasi Hive.
